Avid property investors and most businesses, if not all, are invariably involved in transactions which necessitate professional legal advice. However, the real necessity of engaging a lawyer is almost always a question that weighs on the mind of every cost-conscious person. That, or one simply wants to avoid the "hassle" of engaging a lawyer.
Like any situation in life, being penny wise and pound foolish could prove to be a costly decision when things take a wrong turn. Yoon Wai Fon
LL. B (Hons), CLP
Ms Yoon Wai Fon secured her Law degree with Honours from the University of London in 2011 and thereafter obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board in 2012. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2013 and has been in active practice since.
Ms Yoon has experience in a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial legal advisory work ranging from corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, business incorporation, joint ventures, foreign direct investments, personal and corporate insolvency to retail and corporate financing, regulatory compliance, pre-acquisition and pre-implementation due diligence exercises, contractual disputes, corporate/shareholders' disputes and industrial relations issues.
Advising, reviewing and/or drafting security documentation and commercial agreements in various industries are a staple part of her work. She also frequently deals with personal and real estate transactions involving sale and purchase of movable and immovable properties, tenancies and leases of commercial complexes, office lots and residential units, and estate planning which include the drafting of wills, trust structures and advising her clients on probate and administration matters.
